ABOUT ORB YOGA

At ORB Yoga, our guiding principle of "Open, Ready, Breathing" shapes every class to honor your unique body and practice.

  • "Open" encourages curiosity and acceptance in your practice.

  • "Ready" focuses on being prepared and present.

  • "Breathing" anchors you in the moment, supporting each movement.

Our sequences and poses are intentionally designed with purpose. We avoid extreme movements like splits or putting your feet behind your head, prioritizing safe, meaningful, and sustainable practices.

We believe that today’s movement practises shape your future body, and we want that future to be vibrant and thriving. We also value the calming effects of yoga, which is why we include Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra practices to foster balance and enhance your overall well-being.

Founder's Story

Yoga isn’t just about being bendy—it’s about feeling good in your body, now and for the long haul. Whether you're chasing kids pr grandkids, navigating a full career, caring for aging parents, or noticing that things don’t move quite like they used to, yoga helps you stay strong, steady, and grounded. It gives you tools to manage stress, move with more ease, and support your health—not just for today, but for years to come.

That’s what I want to help you build.

Before teaching yoga, I spent over 20 years in the high-pressure world of public accounting. Leading a team, managing a full client roster, raising two kids, and juggling aging parents. I know what it feels like to be relied on, to keep going, and to ignore the warning signs when your body and mind are running on empty.

Eventually, the chronic stress caught up with me—poor sleep, chronic tension, hives, digestion issues and a kind of deep fatigue that no long weekend couldn’t fix.

Yoga became my way back.

At first, it was just about movement. But over time, it became something deeper: a way to reconnect with myself, to slow down enough to listen to what my body was asking for, and to create space to heal. It taught me that resilience isn’t just pushing through—it’s knowing when to pause, breathe, and re-align.

Now, I bring those lessons to the mat to help others—especially those in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond—feel strong, mobile, and present in their own bodies. My classes are welcoming and down-to-earth, designed for people who want to move well, live well, and age with grace (and maybe a little humor).

No pressure. No pretzels. Just a practice that supports you today—and for the long haul.
